Environmental Commitment by South Pacific Travellers’ World Ltd
As our planet is forced to maintain ever increasing populations, pollution and damage, we all need to assume personal responsibility to minimise our impact on the environment. At South Pacific Travellers’ World, we like to “do our bit”. We use as little paper as possible, recycle materials as much as we can (especially printer and fax toner cartridges and packaging) and carpool or use public transport to work when practical. We turn off heaters, air conditioning and lights whenever possible to conserve our hydro energy and generally take time to be thoughtful about our work habits and environment.
We would like to thank the following for their photographic contributions: Our fabulous staff, Tourism New Zealand, Destination Queenstown, Venture Southland, Tourism Bay of Plenty, Tourism Coromandel, Hawke’s Bay Tourism, Latitude Nelson, Tourism Auckland, Destination Northland, Tourism Dunedin, Venture Taranaki, Destination Lake Taupo, Lake Wanaka Tourism, Chris Stephenson, Christchurch & Canterbury Marketing and our valued suppliers. All photos have been carefully selected to represent New Zealand as fairly as possible. Please remember, we can’t guarantee blue skies and sunshine every day of your visit. We wish we could!

Driving on the left did not prove to be too much of a challenge for L although those windshield wipers got more workout than signal light. He claimed he should have put a sign in the back window that said “ watch for turns when wipers going” but I bet that’s a common problem. Without the GPS we would still be circling the Auckland airport.
With the exception of the mixup in Whitianga, the hotels were great. The amenities were just what we needed and the locations enabled us to do most of our town exploring on foot. We managed quite a few hikes as well and put on a walking total close to 150km. The tracks were all so very well maintained and well signed. We were amazed to see that your national parks do not have an admission fee.
Highlights were Cape Reinga, the fern trees and the dense foliage, the Kea’s at the lookout in Arthur’s Pass (cute but oh my, so quick to be destructive), the Moeraki boulders, the large dunes and some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.
Seeing the destruction that remains from the earthquake in Christchurch was most sobering.
I think one of the strangest things that happened was that we met people we knew from our small home town at the Antarctic Centre. Just goes to show that it can be a small world.
L and I both appreciate the time and effort you and your company put in to make sure our holiday went without a hitch. Thank you so much. I would recommend your services to anyone.
Thanks for a vacation to remember,
