Autumn Colours Coming Soon!

The best time to catch autumn colours in New Zealand is late March through to the end of April.

The colours start to turn first in the southern regions, Central Otago etc, with the northern regions being a little later.  This photo is taken at Glendhu Bay, Lake Wanaka.  Gorgeous!

What our clients say
We had a great time in New Zealand and would not have changed a thing, except perhaps a do-over for some of the poor weather days when we missed some great scenery due to rain and mist. Loved the North Island the best. The mountains and glaciers on the South Island were nice too but similar to what we have within an hour or two of home.

Driving on the left did not prove to be too much of a challenge for L although those windshield wipers got more workout than signal light. He claimed he should have put a sign in the back window that said “ watch for turns when wipers going” but I bet that’s a common problem. Without the GPS we would still be circling the Auckland airport.

With the exception of the mixup in Whitianga, the hotels were great. The amenities were just what we needed and the locations enabled us to do most of our town exploring on foot. We managed quite a few hikes as well and put on a walking total close to 150km. The tracks were all so very well maintained and well signed. We were amazed to see that your national parks do not have an admission fee.

Highlights were Cape Reinga, the fern trees and the dense foliage, the Kea’s at the lookout in Arthur’s Pass (cute but oh my, so quick to be destructive), the Moeraki boulders, the large dunes and some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.

Seeing the destruction that remains from the earthquake in Christchurch was most sobering.

I think one of the strangest things that happened was that we met people we knew from our small home town at the Antarctic Centre. Just goes to show that it can be a small world.

L and I both appreciate the time and effort you and your company put in to make sure our holiday went without a hitch. Thank you so much. I would recommend your services to anyone.

Thanks for a vacation to remember,
