Fly from your homeport to Christchurch where on arrival you will be met by a Grand Pacific Tours representative and transferred to your tour hotel. Tonight enjoy dinner at the hotel and meet your fellow travellers.

A leisurely start to the day before travelling to Fairlight where you board The Kingston Flyer for a rail journey behind a Pacific AB Class Locomotive. On arrival at Kingston a champagne barbecue lunch will be served. Continue to Arrowtown, an old gold mining village and visit the Lakes District Museum before travelling to Queenstown, situated on the shores of magical Lake Wakatipu.

Day 8 - Queenstown (Wanaka Airshow) (BD) |

Today travel via Temuka to Dunedin. Visit Speight’s Brewery for an award-winning informative and interactive tour through this working brewery and heritage centre. After a tasting session enjoy a Scottish presentation comprising of bagpipes, great food, special Haggis Ceremony and gift, followed by a delicious three course dinner at the Ale House restaurant.

Today you have the choice of either a free day in Queenstown or travelling to Wanaka for the opening day of theWarbirds Over Wanaka Airshow. No flying will occur today, however some practice will be happening overhead. Over the next three days you will experience the Aviation Trade Expo and Craft Market with over 60 sites to tempt you, plus a full range of Military Vehicles and Vintage Machinery will be on show. Today provides a good opportunity to enjoy these particular areas prior to the various Airshow activities on Saturday and Sunday. |

Day 9 & 10 - Warbirds Over Wanaka Airshow (B) |

This morning travel along the Otago Peninsula to an amazing property offering spectacular scenery. Enjoy an exhilarating experience on an 8-wheel vehicle as your guide provides an interesting and informative commentary, a close encounter with a seal colony, a variety of bird life, the chance of spotting the yellow-eyed penguins and superb ocean views. Return to the city and board the Taieri Gorge Limited for a journey through terrain and spectacular scenery only accessible by rail. On return to Dunedin your coach will transfer you to the hotel.

Travel to Wanaka over the next two days where Wanaka Airport will become your home as you are entertained by the world’s best display pilots flying aircraft overhead. |

Today travel south through the Catlins. Enjoy a walk into Nugget Point and view the various wildlife before continuing to Purakaunui for a walk into the Falls with time to relax and enjoy a picnic lunch. Later continue along the coast to Invercargill.

After a leisurely morning enjoy a Secrets of Bungy tour. Learn about the heritage of bungy and enjoy the thrill without having to actually jump. This afternoon see spectacular mountain ranges including Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest Peak. The opportunity is available (time and weather permitting) to enjoy a scenic flight over the Southern Alps before arriving at your overnight accommodation.

Day 12 - Mount Cook Region - Christchurch (BD) |

This morning visit Bill Richards Truck Museum for a tour of this amazing collection. Travel via Gore to Mandeville Airfield and visit one of the best Moth collections in the world. A guided tour will showcase the extensive restoration program and fleet of aircraft on-site, with the opportunity (time and weather permitting) to take a flight in one of the impressive aircraft (own expense). Next continue to Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland.

View the brilliant turquoise water of Lake Tekapo, visit the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Sheep Dog Statue before continuing to Christchurch. On arrival visit the Airforce Museum famous for its collection of classic aeroplanes, artefacts and informative audio visual presentations. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner with your new friends.

| Depart Te Anau for a fascinating drive to Milford Sound. Board your launch, enjoy a picnic lunch and marvel at the sheer cliffs and the many waterfalls as you cruise this magnificent fiord. This afternoon return to Te Anau where some free time is available.You may like to visit the Te Anau Glow Worm Caves (own expense). |
