Day 1 Auckland golf at Titirangi This morning you will be transferred by taxi to the Titirangi Golf Club for your first round of New Zealand golf. We suggest a mid morning tee off time for this course, which was designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, designer of Augusta National, amongst many others. Your afternoon and evening are at leisure. We suggest a stroll around Viaduct Harbour, famous for America’s Cup sailing and location of many of Auckland’s popular restaurants. Overnight Auckland  Day 2 Auckland – North Shore golf at Gulf Harbour Pick up your rental car then drive to Gulf Harbour. Gulf Harbour is one of New Zealand’s highest rated golf courses and not to be missed. We suggest an early afternoon tee off time for this course. Driving Time Auckland – Gulf Harbour approx 1 hour Overnight North Shore  Day 3 North Shore – Mount Maunganui golf at Mt Maunganui - optional Travel south this morning to the beach resort of Mount Maunganui. Play 18 holes this afternoon at the Mt Maunganui Golf Club. Driving Time North Shore – Mt Maunganui approx 3 ½ hours Overnight Mount Maunganui  Day 4 Mount Maunganui – Rotorua golf at Rotorua A beautiful scenic drive this morning south to Rotorua, through the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park. This afternoon you play a round at the Rotorua Golf Club. Driving Time Mount Maunganui – Rotorua approx 1¼ hours Overnight Rotorua  Day 5 Rotorua   A day at leisure to enjoy the thermal attractions of Rotorua. By now you deserve a soak in the hot thermal Polynesian Pools (included). This evening we suggest a traditional Maori hangi dinner and concert (optional). Overnight Rotorua  Day 6 Rotorua – Wairakei/Taupo golf at Wairakei A short drive to Wairakei. Play golf this afternoon at Wairakei International Golf Course. The thermal activity in the region creates a very interesting landscape! We suggest a tee off time of 1.30pm. Driving Time Rotorua – Taupo approx 1 hour Overnight Wairakei/Taupo  Day 7 Wairakei/Taupo – Napier optional golf Leaving the central plateau region behind, you drive to the wine growing region of Hawkes Bay and the city of Napier, renowned for its art deco architecture. Time at leisure this afternoon for local sightseeing or wine tasting. Alternatively you can play an optional game of golf at Napier Golf Club. Driving Time Wairakei – Napier approx 2 ½ hours Overnight Napier  Day 8 Napier – Paraparaumu/Wellington   A full morning of travel down the east coast, through the Manawatu Gorge and on down the west coast to Paraparaumu Beach on the Kapiti Coast where Tiger Woods played in the 2002 New Zealand Open. Driving Time Napier – Paraparaumu approx 4 ½ hours Overnight Paraparaumu  Day 9 Paraparaumu – Wellington golf at Paraparaumu - optional A mid-morning tee-off to play 18 holes at Paraparaumu. This afternoon it is a short drive south to New Zealand’ capital city, Wellington, which is renowned for its cuisine, cafes and culture. Driving Time Paraparaumu – Wellington approx 1 hour Overnight Wellington  Day 10 Wellington - Nelson   Drop off your rental car at the Wellington Interislander ferry terminal. Take the 9.30am ferry to Picton, nestled in the pristine Marlborough Sounds in the South Island. Pick up your next rental car on arrival in Picton and drive on to Nelson. Ferry Time Wellington – Picton approx 3 hours Driving Picton – Nelson approx 2 hours Overnight Nelson  Day 11 Nelson golf at Nelson The links course at Nelson beckons this morning. We suggest a 9.00am tee off for 18 holes, followed by some local sightseeing. We recommend that you visit the Wearable Arts Museum or take a drive to the beautiful beaches of Kaiteriteri and Marahau in the Abel Tasman National Park. Overnight Nelson  Day 12 Nelson – Punakaiki optional golf Travel along the Buller Highway to the spectacular coastline at Punakaiki. Time for an optional 9 holes of golf at Murchison on the way. At Punakaiki take a short stroll to the lookout where the dramatic Tasman Sea is forced through the gaps in the pancake rocks. Driving Time Nelson – Punakaiki 4 ½ hours Overnight Punakaiki  Day 13 Punakaiki - Franz Josef Travel through some of New Zealand’s best native forest and along some spectacular coastline. Enjoy the trip. On arrival at Franz Josef you will have time to visit the terminal face of the glacier or take an optional helicopter flight over the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. Driving Time Wanaka – Queenstown approx 1 ½ hours Overnight Queenstown  Day 16 Queenstown golf at Millbrook Spectacular alpine scenery with the backdrop of Coronet Peak and the Remarkables will challenge your concentration at Millbrook. Just 15 minutes’ drive from Queenstown. This amazing course is ranked as one of the best in the world so enjoy your game. Remember to focus on the golf or the lakes at Millbrook will diminish your ball supply. An 8.30am tee off means you have the afternoon free to enjoy Queenstown’s many sights and attractions. Driving Time Queenstown – Millbrook approx 15 minutes Overnight Queenstown  Day 17 Queenstown   A free day in the adventure capital of the world. Driving Time Queenstown – Terrace Downs approx 6 hours Overnight Terrace Downs  Day 19 Terrace Downs – Christchurch golf at Terrace Downs The Terrace Downs course, set in quiet Rakaia River Gorge, is your challenge today. We suggest a leisurely mid-morning tee off. The course is set high above the Rakaia Gorge – beware of the strong winds! Drive to Christchurch this afternoon. Driving Time Terrace Downs – Christchurch approx 1 ¼ hours Overnight Christchurch  Day 20 Christchurch golf at Clearwater Resort Lakes, lakes and more lakes make Clearwater a stunning golf venue. A morning round with a suggested tee off time of 8.30am is best before the wind gets up. The rest of the day in Christchurch is at leisure. Surrender your rental car by 5.00pm.
