Situated on the hill behind the Wanaka township lies the Wanaka Golf Course. This gem of a course was opened in 1927 and is now established as a premier destination New Zealand Course.

The course features challenging golf and absolutely stunning scenery of Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps. The course features in the 2003 "Ultimate New Zealand Golf Tour" calendar.

The course is always maintained in excellent condition and is a challenge to golfers abilities. Visitors are made welcome and are encouraged to join in on club days to play with local members.
