ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive Auckland

Day 2: Auckland - Matamata (Hobbiton) - Rotorua

Day 7: Nelson - free day for optional activities

Day 8: Nelson - Hokitika

The dramatic Buller Gorge, with its swing bridge (the longest in New Zealand) carves your route through the mountains to Inangahua Junction. Hokitika calls itself a "cool little town", with its multitude of great shops, galleries and cafes right on the beach.

Day 9: Hokitika - Franz Josef

Day 10: Franz Josef - Queenstown

Day 11: Queenstown - LOTR Tour

Day 12: Queenstown - day free for optional activities

Day 13: Queenstown - Twizel
