Guided hike on glacier ice. Transfers from the township included. Boots, socks, crampons & alpenstocks provided. Wear several layers of warm clothing. Moderate fitness & agility required. Involves some steady, graded uphill walking for 45 minutes. Duration: 4 hours.

Guided hike on Franz Josef Glacier. Boots, socks, gloves, ice talons, rain jackets if required. Spectacular icefall terrain. Average fitness required. The trip includes a 3km hike to the glacier followed by a 1.5 hour hike over pre-formed tracks on the lower reaches of the glacier.
Duration 4.5 hours.
